AI Disclosure · Lock In MCAT
Effective date: June 19, 2026 Last updated: July 11, 2026
This disclosure explains how AI is used in Lock In MCAT and the Educational Operating System (EOS) platform (the "Platform"). It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms.
What the AI does
The Platform uses Schedule AI (planning), Study Coach AI, Professor AI (including voice conversations and whiteboard lessons), the Reasoning Coach (an optional browser extension that coaches you on practice questions), Smart Notes and note-capture tools (which turn your uploaded notes, photos, and recordings into study materials), AI practice-question and flashcard generators, AI diagram/visual generation, and the Mastery Engine (which analyzes practice questions you got wrong to diagnose the likely root cause of the mistake, updates a per-student map of your strengths and weaknesses, and generates original practice drills to remediate the specific gap). It also builds a Unified Learner Model (ULM) and a Lock In Adherence Score (LAS) from your activity to personalize scheduling and coaching.
What the AI is — and is not
Educational support only. Not a medical device; no medical care, diagnosis, treatment, or professional advice. The learner model and adherence score are educational measures of activity/engagement, not clinical, diagnostic, or health assessments. No doctor–patient or other professional relationship is created.
Accuracy and your responsibility
AI content, schedules, and recommendations may be inaccurate or incomplete. Independently verify important information before relying on it. You remain responsible for your academic and exam-preparation decisions.
Data used by AI features
AI processes your prompts/interactions, planning information, telemetry, and content you choose to provide — including uploaded notes, documents, photos, flashcard decks, audio recordings, and screenshots you capture or share (for example, when you ask the Reasoning Coach to look at a practice question on your screen; screen capture happens only when you initiate it) and practice questions you capture into the Mastery Engine. Third-party content you capture stays private to your account and is not used to train models or build datasets. AI text features use OpenAI and Google AI; AI speech synthesis uses ElevenLabs and OpenAI; AI speech transcription uses OpenAI; AI image and diagram generation uses Google AI and OpenAI.
